Devlog 08: Production

This past week or so, my team and I reorganized our tasks and due dates, as well as plan smaller meetings.  These meetings were planned due to dependencies.  For example, I know we are going to have menus and other interfaces, but the details need to be discussed.  How many buttons are there?  What is the vibe we are going for?  Answering these questions and expanding the sound effects list in the GDD is going to be super helpful.

In terms of reorganizing tasks, we are staying up to date with what's getting done (and updating Gantt), what we can do to help one another, and what we want to prioritize for the next playtest.  We have been shifting around dates to reflect these discussions.  Although we haven't made huge progress, we still feel that this is manageable and talking about due dates and scheduling has been a big help with that.

The work that I have recently completed includes a work-in-progress of the neutral region music, walking sound effects, recording voice lines (and figuring out how that should sound with group input), and recording a few more extra sound that I may want to use.  I have received feedback on the music and am going to finish that this week along with the rest of the walking sounds, bugs sounds, and voice lines.  It sounds like a lot of work, but since I have it all recorded already, it shouldn't take too long to clip and do some light filtering.  I'm also planning on getting some of these sounds in the game for the next playtest.
